FHE Lesson Idea

Choose The Right
What you will need: a piece of paper titled Christ, a piece of paper titled Satan, 24 blue squares, 24 yellow squares, pencil or pens for everyone
Opening Song: Choose The Right
Lesson:
Hand out half the yellow squares and read the following scripture Revelations 12:9 have everyone write down on each square a characteristic of Satan (mean, miserable, etc...)
Tape them under the Satan header
Hand out half of the blue squares and read 3 Nephi 17:6-7 then have everyone write down on each square characteristics of Christ (loving, kind, giving, etc...)
Tape them under the Christ header
Hand out the rest of the yellow squares read Alma 10:25 and have everyone write what their actions are like when we chose to be like Satan (fight, hit, say mean things, etc...)
Add this to the Satan page
Hand out the rest of the yellow squares read Luke 10:33-34 and have everyone write what their actions are like when they choose to be like Jesus (kind to others, happy, giving, etc...)
Add this to the Christ page
When we do things to be like Satan we are inviting him into our home but when we are Christ like we are inviting Christ into our home. We must choose who we want to be like and who we want to have in our home.
Activity: Have everyone choose a goal for the week write it down or color a picture as to what they will work on to be more like Christ. Hang their goals and paper with Christ like attributes in a place where it can be seen daily. Each night at dinner as a family discuss how the challenge is going.
Snack Idea: Have an Ice Cream Sundae Bar where everyone has to "choose" their toppings.
